Expertise
Intellectual property
We protect and enforce intangible assets — brands, content, know-how — in Tunisia, the Maghreb and French-speaking Africa.
What we do
- Trademark filing and opposition in Tunisia and internationally through the Madrid System
- Brand protection across French-speaking Africa through OAPI, where a single filing covers all member states
- Anti-counterfeiting action, including border measures with customs
- Copyright and related rights: publishing, audiovisual, music, software
- Licensing, franchising and technology transfer agreements
- Domain names and online infringement
Questions our clients ask
- A brand exported to West Africa is being copied locally: is an OAPI filing enough?
- An OAPI filing protects the mark in every member state through a single procedure, but it does not settle everything. Monitoring, evidence of infringement, action before the competent national court and customs measures all need to be organised.
- A broadcaster airs footage without the producer's permission: what remedies are available?
- We first establish the chain of title: who holds which rights, in which territory and for how long. We then choose between a formal notice, a negotiated retroactive licence or an infringement action, depending on the client's goal.
